It's a snippet like <t:1234567890:F> that Discord renders as a date/time, automatically converted to each viewer's local timezone. You write one tag; everyone reads it in their own time.
Use :R for "in 3 days" countdowns, :F for full day-of-week + date + time (best for events), :t for compact time-only mentions, and :d for date-only. The default :f shows date plus time without the day name.
No. The <t:...> syntax is a Discord-only feature. Other apps render the literal text. The tool also shows you the underlying Unix timestamp if you need it elsewhere.
